THINK LESS | ENJOY MORE | REST EASY
Travel helps us explore boundaries, change, delight, and beauty in ways that staying at home just can’t. Some trips are luxurious, some are grittier, but all of them use yoga to support the fullest experience of your time. I love traveling with all kinds of personalities—whether you are a seasoned rover or a nervous wreck, it’s ok— you will arrive back home with more than you had before you left.
POP UP EVENTS | WORKSHOPS
Often held in handsome or intriguing spaces like gardens, breweries, or museums, pop-up yoga experiences are a great way to break out of the norm and devote an hour to the enjoyment of life through movement, breath, and the charm of spontaneous community. It’s easy and fun to pop in alone or with friends. Workshops, usually held in studios, are also included in the schedule below.
Getting individualized attention from private sessions can open new doors for your practice, whether you’re beginning it or deepening it. Practicing yoga within your specific communities can be for fun, bonding, or to help improve the way you function together—some examples are friend gatherings, wedding parties, athletic teams, and work teams.
I began my yoga practice as a way to exercise while traveling in places where running and recreational sports weren’t available. The realization came quickly that this path involved so much more than merely staying limber. It helps me take myself less seriously, laugh more, and integrate my experiences so that I can glimpse what the whole “becoming one” thing might be about. I studied in Philadelphia where I began my teaching career, and was blessed to be part of the heart-expanding Blue Banyan Yoga family. Now I love to do this work all over the world in studios, fields, homes, and anywhere else I can put down a mat or take some purposeful breaths with my students.
